We followed it to the industrial park where it disconnected the caboose, attached a boxcar, picked up the caboose and took off. The old rusty caboose had an IC logo. We were puzzled by the CN name on the diesel engine. According to Google, it's the CN, Canadian National RR. What's a Canadian train doing on our IC (Illinois Central) tracks? Then we learned that CN took over the IC line several years ago. Does this mean the famous train "The City of New Orleans" will become the City of Quebec? Will Arlo Guthrie be singing "Good morning Canada, how are you?"
